While I dang sure won't defend Rick Perry's intellect, I will say that I can only imagine how stressed and nervous I would be standing up there.

I give most of the candidates, even the Dems, some wiggle room. As long as they don't freeze continually I'm fine.

Bernie had a **** the bed moment in his debate and I don't think he is a drooling moron.

Not the same. Perry bumbled his way through the entire campaign, while Cruz has complete control of the facts and ran intellectual circles around everyone last night. It was easy to claim Perry didn't know because he is stupid. Not going to work here.

I work in education. I'm for education but I'm also all for doing away with the Department of Education.

Fwiw, over 90% of funding for elementary and secondary education comes from local and state funds anyway.
