EMU Article on Their Move to ESPN3 Capable Facilities
You missed KSU's CWS appearance.

And you way overestimate how much credit the MAC gets for anything, even at its best.

College football is about 10-12 programs, probably fewer. Everything else is a cute short term story.

Sooooo, back to the topic of this thread...

The article mentions that the MAC is helping to pay for some of the upgrades schools needed to make. Was this 'news' out before? All I remember reading/hearing was that the schools would be on the hook for the upgrades.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's ESPN helping to pay for part of the upgrades cost (don't know if in cash, in kind or a combination of both), and since its through the MAC / ESPN renewal, that comes to EMU from the MAC.

My understanding is that ESPN is paying some, but not all, of the upgrade expense.

I believe EMU on a financial statement for their regents shows it as an income item and also an expense.

ESPN kicked in about $100k, as reported in AD financial statements.
