Unfortunately his itemized deductions will likely be limited so he won't get the all the benefit of it

Okay, yeah, so 3% of (1,000,000-309900) = 20,703 subtraction from his total itemized deduction. I'm an audit guy, tbh.

I graduate a month from today. I'm working audit side right now with a small firm, hoping for a full-time offer.

This is one of the classiest things I've ever heard of a coach doing... and I've heard of a lot of cool stories in my day.

Haase is one of the most humble people I have ever known in the sports world. He was not "trumpeting"

From the article if you bother to read it.

Quote:He did not initially want to speak to ESPN for the story but did confirm that he and his wife made a donation to the school that was earmarked for the players on both teams.

Haase was handling what the clown shoes in our athletic department screwed up. I vividly recall Ray Watts saying that COA was one of the reasons for trashing our football team, and that the money saved would allow men's basketball to be a first class operation and contend for national championships.

Yeah, I strangled on that BS too. The point is that they knew it was coming, and if it wasn't in the budget the most likely explanation is incompetence and the other is ill-will compounded by stupidity.
