Is it true that the NCAA gave you a waiver on signing players that haven't qualified and will give them til the 2017 season to do so? If not, I need to quash this rumor on another board.

The article above says they can take partial qualifiers that still need to be in a junior college. Meaning no other D1 school in the country could sign these kids in December but UAB. Pretty huge advantage. They can go to UAB and get qualified there.

I think we've all talked about the upcoming advantage you guys will have this year relative to recruiting....it's expected.....and deserved.....you guys aren't smu.....

no way any southern miss fan would trade places with you guys....regardless of what southern miss fans have gone through over the last 3 yrs.....not a chance of that happening....

Biggest difference for us is instead of getting that sinking, pit in the gut feeling traveling to Birmingham for a game, we now get a sinking, pit in the gut feeling traveling to gd Murfreesboro. We need you to bring back balance to the force.

I wish UAB well in their comeback, but giving them this advantage in recruiting because of something that was their own choosing just can't be allowed. Before you UAB people jump me, I gave money to your resurgence and want you back, but giving to an advantage on non qualifiers just can't happen.

It was UAB's decision whether you personally wanted it to happen, or whether I did or didn't want it, which I didn't. With that said, I am thru with this because there is obviously nothing anyone can do about it now...Once again, I honestly wish you well, we need teams to be good in this league, but all should be on equal footing.
