RE: Open Thread - Week 11
After LSU lost tonight, Alabama doesn't have a single win over a team with less than 2 losses and only 2 teams (Wisconsin and LSU) with only 2 losses - the rest of their schedule has 3 or more losses.

RE: Open Thread - Week 11
ClemVegas, turnovers are part of the game. I'm well aware of how the game went but reality is a so-so UofL team missed a potential game tying 38 yard FG with 2.5 minutes left in the game. It is what it is. I just find Bama to be most impressive at this moment.

Pre-playoff that mattered less as it didn't matter how you were playing at the end of the year if you weren't top 2. Now if you're top 4 its a clean slate similar to the NFL playoffs, & what matters is how you're playing after Christmas. This isn't to trash Clemson and all the top teams have three games remaining so things will change.

Example, the PAC-12 could be playoff eliminated by tonight. Stanford just lost 38-36 to Oregon and 1 loss Utah is down 10 in the 2nd quarter. The PAC-12 could end the night with everyone having at least two losses.

The SEC in general looks ugly this year...at least to what they've been in the past few years

That said, you can't ignore the way Alabama has played...they've gone into hostile environments and destroyed teams. They shut down the leading Heisman candidate...they look like the best team to me

RE: Open Thread - Week 11
bama lost to Ole Miss at home, almost lost to TN at home. they barely won it, at home. Clemson puts up a ton of yards on the road and really won by 13 but Cuse had offsides on field goal block and Clem got first down. could have punched it in right there to make it 17.

Bama won at UGA who does not have a good QB and pulse on offense this year. MSU had not look great on offense this year and they don't have any stud RB or WR.

if MSU was a legit ranked team u think they could have least scored one TD at home. lol

LSU's RB was only Heisman candidate b/c of SEC bias. his best game was against Auburn not exactly a good defense.

Yes clearly LSU and Mississippi St. couldn't win the Sun Belt while Syracuse is headed for greatness. Could that last post be any more biased?

PS- you won by 10, not 13 or 17. Taking a knee late is not a rare occurrence. It happens quite often.

no actually won by 13, made the field goal that was erased to give us 1st down. the point is, it wasn't that close. they could have done the penalty on purpose to keep the margin of victory at 10 to help with their recruiting. lol

Cuse played LSU tough earlier in the year. you didn't knock LSU for it.

i never said LSU or MSU are bad teams but both are mediocre teams in my view. there is obviiously some Bama bias .

it is ok, i hope if Clemson makes the playoffs they get Bama in title game, and hopefully Florida prior to that.

Unlikely, as I expect FSU to take Florida out of the equation before then...

You obviously have not been watching Florida play. Besides, Florida will play Bama in the SEC title game. Somebody has to lose. The loser will not be in the playoffs.

RE: Open Thread - Week 11
ClemVegas...your team won (win with class without disparaging the loser (maybe I'm sensitive after ready tigernet all week-LOL)).

Do you want me whine about the phantom hands to the face penalty, the tick-tack PI and ineligible man downfield calls? Do you want me to whine about us playing a 5th string walk-on QB along with 7 starters/contributors out with injuries or suspension? BTW, those turnovers were caused by Cuse defensive plays.

You were in a game yesterday...despite your fan board expecting a 63-3 game...just like last year.

Carry on...good luck and win out!

10-0, 7-0 in conference
Fifth consecutive 10 win season
35 in a row over unranked opponents
46 in a row when having the leas entering the 4th quarter
Dabo has more ACC wins this season than Dave Doeren has in almost three.

On to the Deacs.

Teams always seem to play better when their coach announces that he is retiring at the end of the season.
