I think Pearl is recognizing that while the game is sold out, many season ticket holders are not attendees and will be more interested in the football game the next day. He doesn't want a small loud UAB faction to be louder than Auburm fans.

The old stadium housed 10.5k, and the new one is listed at 9,131. I'm not sure if that includes the standing section or not. They had 5700 show up against Indianapolis, so I would be very surprised if the place wasn't close to capacity, even with the game the next day. If anything, Auburn fans are discouraged with football and want something good to look forward to in basketball. I don't know why Bruce Pearl is worried...

With that being said, do you think we'll have 1000 fans there? more? less?

Less. There have been almost no tickets available to Blazer fans. Unless you pay out the nose on the secondary market.

Surprised to see him say the rotation would be nine players. Oddly specific for a team that doesn't really know what it has. Auburn doesn't know if Purifoy will get cleared or when TSD will be healthy or if Reed will come back next semester. Even if Pearl is ignoring those players for the time being, he still has ten rotation players. Must not think Zach Allison will play.

1 way to work towards that is to make a deal with an AD out of his league with a stipulation that the opposing team does not get any tickets.

It was a stretch but congratulations for getting to blame Ingram for something else.

It's Ingram's fault that auburn fans have bought up most of their seats at their arena. Got it.

The ticket allotment issue is probably similar to the TV coverage. The game was scheduled so late that Auburn didn't have the ability to go back and block out a certain area for UAB.

Not including the 2nd year's agreement which I think includes free shoe shines for Pearl & company as they enter the temporarily named Bruce Pearl Arena.

I know certain people at UAB are pissed at the way the contract was made without a ticket stipulation. I am not going to publicly blame anyone including our AD. Let's just say I was told the favor will be returned next year so it will be up to us to buy up all the seats in Bartow. If we don't it's on us.

I have no problem with that either. As long as we aren't giving them any, we have the same agreement. I hope we can buy up all the tickets next year.

I don't know how many UAB fans to expect there. It appears a good number are going. I'm going +4(including the answer) and we will be in seats we paid too much for. I know when the tickets went on sale that most UAB fans got put in one section. Hopefully we have a good number scattered around the arena. I haven't been this excited about a basketball opener in a while.

I have two seats behind one of the baskets about 13 rows up.

That's pretty much my position. The time to get pissed at Ingram is next year if we alot them tickets.

Yea we paid probably 3 times what these tickets are worth, but I really wanted to come to this game.

We are in section 107 row 13. Where are you AB?
