Navy gets that every time we beat a P5 school. There is a lasting contingent of ND fans with the same opinion of Navy. There's also usually a contingent of "how could we lose to such a clearly inferior team," which is ironic since "better" teams win.

In the end, it's funny how they love having you as the homecoming patsy, but as soon as you beat them once, their fans want to drop you from the schedule. IMHO, this fear is the real reason why the P5 doesn't want their schools playing any smaller programs.

ole piss

LULZ

How many times in the last seven or eight years did Ole Piss start the preseason top 15 and end up 6-6?

SEC has some great teams but Ole Piss isn't one of them.

Ole Piss and South Carolina

Everybody in the nation knows no matter what they are ranked, they will choke the season away at some point....the question is always not IF but WHEN.

Series is a huge mistake. Recruiting and fund raising will come to a screeching halt. We expressed our concerns 3 years ago at our Thurs lunch group about this game and they are the same today. HF has some tough coaching decisions to make this year. Hopefully he has the guts to make them.

LOL

The Rebels fans must be the most self over rated so called power yet... If you think you are so power level type than you shouldn't have no problem squashing anything beneath you, Rebels.

All I see here from the Ole Miss side are a bunch of pricks annoying SOB's who don't have the balls to admit that the Memphis Tigers are for real and should continue scheduling them so that they too could strengthen them selves come playoff selections.

Ole Miss fans have never come to grips with the fact that it isn't the 60s, Archie isn't their quarterback, and that they are a middling SEC team who is lucky enough to get a P5 welfare check.

For them to be crying like little biaches, only means Memphis is doing something right.

Noticeable Memphis improvements
Respectively ranked... Tremendous National exposure for Memphis... Increase in-State Tennesse love... I could go on

Jealousy donkey balls suckers Rebels are feeling the pressure.

Give them hell.

Ole Miss and Miss State are both about 90 miles from Memphis.

Hopefully that puts Memphis fans' respect for USM in perspective.

Hopefully every one of the AAC schools has a team like OM we beat (at least occasionally). It is so much fun to see the wicked witches melt down each and every time. We just want to share the joy with you.

I was in the stands in 1970 when Southern Miss and a Sophmore DB/Punter/Place kicker Ray Guy and 5'6'' 145# TB, Willie Heidelburg, beat Superman Archie Manning and his 4th ranked Rebels in Oxford. That was after the Jackson paper ran a sports editorial saying that Southern Miss was a third rate team and didn't belong on the schedule. After Southern Miss beat the 30-14 and stopped Archie on the 1 yard line twice during the game, they didn't know what to say. USM Coach PW Underwood knew what to say. When the Jackson paper's reporter asked him to describe the game he just looked at him and said: "We kicked their ass."

Over the next 16 years the series was pretty much even. So, OM dropped USM from the schedule and won't return calls. Memphis probably won't get another series after this one ends either. But it is fun to watch the meltdown.

Oxford is just less than 90 miles from Memphis. Starkville is about 180 miles from Memphis.
