51 of 80 teams Now Bowl Eligible
Kentucky really needs to beat Vanderbilt this week - Charlotte should be winnable, but Louisville may be a bit of a toss-up now.

Akron two wins away. Terry Bowden is close to bringing the program back from the lowest point in 124 years that the Zips were at when he took over.

He is wrong- - only 50 are qualified. San Diego State has not qualified yet, since one win was over a non-counter

That was supposed to be a game against UAB, and it was hard to find a replacement on a short notice. In this case? A Waiver in place would be acceptable because it was not the fault of the school, but it was the fault of the BoTs at Alabama that screwed everybody up who had UAB on their schedule.

Correct. I also had the Aztecs down as being eligible, since they only had one win against an FCS team. However, even though the Toreros compete in Division I in football, they don't offer scholarships, which makes them a non-counter. I was wondering why SDSU didn't play them regularly - now I know.

SDSU Had options that would be counters. San Diego cancelled their game against Northern Arizona that weekend to play the Aztecs. San Diego State could've elected to play northern Arizona under the same deal breaking arrangement. So there is no reason to give them a waiver

I do predict they will win a couple more games so it will not matter

Agreed that it won't matter because SDSU will win another game or two, but IIRC the major reason SDSU filled that vacancy with USD is that a significant donor to both schools wanted that game to happen.

well, they are for all intents and purposes eligible as the #1 thing is any FCS win.

They should used that money to invest in scholarships and join the Big Sky as an affiliate member.

No they don't...LOL

Let's hope they cough up another oh-pher fur ball and miss a bowl game. If they somehow managed to lose to both Vandy and Charlotte, CWS would be nothing but red come November 28.

Louisville fans have already snapped up most of the extra tickets. It will be better than 50% red as it is. Sucks being a Kentucky football fan...lol

Two Teams looking very shaky for eligibility just put themselves in the likely Category.

VT and South Alabama with in 1 win for being Bowl Eligible.

South Alabama have Ga State, Ga Southern and App. Should beat Ga St to get six. That should provide the SB with an extra team needing a slot.

VT - UNC and @UVA. Should beat UVA. I would not be surprised to see VT upset UNC in Beamer's last home game. I think they go 2-0. VT would ensure the ACC meets all it's slots. Barring a total collapse of ND preventing a NY 6 appearance, there should be no extra teams from the ACC.

My scenarios all had USA and VT winning last night.

USA and ULL still should get bowl eligible. I don't see VT beating UNC, so there bowl eligibility will hinge on winning in Charlottesville
