The best thing that could happen to the Big 12 now is for both OU and OSU to beat Baylor and the two of them win out until Bedlam. I think the winner of Bedlam then becomes a lock for the CFP.

Best thing for the Big 12 is to have Baylor win and set up a matchup of undefeated teams with Baylor and OSU. That way the winner is pretty much guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

The best thing that could happen is for Baylor to beat Oklahoma state and TCU beat Baylor so we can all laugh about "one true champion" all over again.

Baylor/OU opened @ -7 Baylor, quickly went to -4/3.5
Gooners Have lost the last 2 visits down in Waco
Baylor has won the last 2 games vs. them "Blommers"
by an avg victory margin of over 30 pts

This. OU still has to beat the cream of the Big 12-2 crop.

I don't think so if the Big 12 champ is Oklahoma. Stanford plays Notre Dame the last week of the season. If ND wins, and still only has one loss - to Clemson - the Committee would put a one loss ND in ahead of a one loss OU. Likewise, if Stanford wins, and goes on to be PAC 12 champ, the Committee may be picking between a Stanford team with one loss (Norwestern - ranked in the top 25) vs. Oklahoma with one loss (against unranked Texas). Stanford would have a quality win over ND and a conference championship win over Utah, probably. I think the Committee picks Stanford.

If OSU wins out as an undefeated team they would have a much better shot, but given the laydown OOC schedule they played, it's still possible the Committee puts Notre Dame in ahead of them. The Big 12 champ will need to be undefeated to get in.

No respect for Okie State....they'll probably go undefeated or only lose in the Bedlam game.

With that OOC slate I can see why. Not to mention close calls against average/below average Texas, K State and WVU teams...

Not to defend OSU scheduling
But The CMU game (a 3 for 1) was set up
as a favor for the AD Mike Heeke
who is good friends w/ OSU AD Mike Holder

Central Arkansas was hurriedly scheduled because
N Carolina St & Purdue both dropped an agreed football series w/ OSU

Could've scheduled UCF, we had to last moment schedule an fcs. Wouldn't have helped the sos too much this year but I don't think anyone thought we'd be this bad.

RE: Baylor's big stage
Talking about a different big stage for Baylor, what a terrible turn out for GameDay in Waco in what seems like it would be a great setting for Game Day placed right at the opening of the Baylor horseshoe stadium.

One of the worst turnouts I have seen in a long time for that show. Don't expect GameDay back in Waco anytime soon.
