Mizzou Black Football Players On Strike?
This has been beyond stupid. Want the university president fired? If they fail to show for the next practice, revoke their scholarships. Give the free education to the walked on to play. Wanna use your football team to make a point? Go for it. Then you can take your place in the fast-food industry, working beside the kids who could not afford a college education.

While I agree with your assessment what will happen will be entirely other because the national media has gotten interested so bureaucrats will cover their collective rears and somebody will be the fall guy. And after that it will be open season for whatever issue someone wants to gripe about on any basketball or football team for whatever P5 school.

True, the university came out with a "peaches and cream" statement last night. It was disgusting... Congrats on a solid win yesterday, JR.

RE: Mizzou Black Football Players On Strike?
Watch out now. Every petty grievance that isn't immediately jumped upon will result in threats of boycott almost everywhere now. The correct approach would have been to have a hearing on the facts of the accusations and then take appropriate action. But instead we get a knee jerk PC move that will only lead to more of the same.
Every accusation has to be met with the same due diligence that we claim to possess in the legal system. Innocent until proven guilty has gone out the window now and I suspect will continue to do so. It is so much like the mid 30's in Germany that it is not even funny. To be accused of anything anti-Nazi barely merited a hearing let alone a trial. If you violated PC (Goebbels originated the term) you were guilty of opposing the state.
Truth and justice is all we need ever ask for and pursue. Truth goes out the window without an investigation and hearing and justice tumbles out onto the street with Truth.
If the two who resigned were guilty then after the hearing would have been the appropriate time for their resignation. By doing it now they set the precedent for others who are merely accused to lose all their rights to due process and fairness and it only emboldens false allegations.
ESPN & Finebaum are celebrating this as a wonderful Missouri handling of the situation. Corporate desires obviously trump reason. I think we are all screwed and it only gets worse from here. Now tensions and lack of reason will build on both sides and the end won't be pretty.

This is ridiculous...and every ESPN reporter has done a disservice by not reporting the story as they should.
Furious. 4 strait days of pure stupidity.

I feel bad for the normal folks at Mizzou, which of course nobody covers them. Seems like it is all about nothing. Manufactured injustice.
