If you are missing "several layups", yet still hitting 55.6%, then you are doing VERY well offensively]
You keep bringing that up so i an responding but like ivsaid not worried about offense
Now do you want to disagree about bad defense? If so I guess Forbes is clueless since mentioned same things. As for the "several layups" they missed 12. Unless you You are saying the official play by play is wrong

Rod, I tire of your sour, endless negativity. Your amazing, but boring ability to say that you are not impressed. To demand that people tell you what you missed.

And then to run away from it when someone points out that all you missed was the entire offensive half of the game.

We're going out. Have fun!

Me @ noon today: Yawn, this message board sux today.

@ 2PM: Still nothing. Boring...

Just now: Holy crap, SWVA and ROD LOCKED IN WHITE GUY STATS BATTLE! Ohhhh yeah! Let the good times roll!

Captain Jack's official referee & judge decision:

MACHO MAN SWVA for the WIN! He used a POWER COMBO of POSITIVITY and REALISTIC PRE-SEASON EXPECTATIONS.

NATURE BOY ROD got props for TENACITY, but his over-emphasis on a few missed layups ultimately cost him the belt. Hang in there, Rod. You can always whine when we only beat UT by 3.

Who's side are you on? Remember the young men read this board. Perhaps you may consider tempering your douchiness with some positivity.

What did I miss that was so different? gave up 77 to Tusculum, Someone had a career night from 3, Hartle 21pts, 5-8 3pters. They hit 12=27 from three.
Our post defense was a bit shaky. We had trouble finishing and missed several layups. I wasn't impressed, some of the players, sure, overall not really.
Someone made the excuse nerves, really? Nervous against this team we might as well not go to Philadelphia or Atlanta.
Flame away, but seriously, take off the Blue and gold glasses and tell me what I missed.
I think you make some good points. But did you see DEUCE? His first step is NASTY fast.

first I make some good points but because I am not 100% sunshine and roses for SWVA Now I am acting douche? He was the one he became obsessed with me saying we missed layups, so by golly if he wants to be a jerk about 1 comment I can certainly match him AND show him I am right.

Like those kids give a ratsass what some old guy says on a messageboard.. I sure as hell hope they are tougher then that, My god, they would burst out crying if we played Duke if saying they missed layups hurts their feelings, they were there I am pretty sure THEY know they missed layups. Not sure how SWVA missed them since he breaks down every game in the league, he is the board expert, I don't claim to be one but I can see when someone misses from point blank range..

PS I hope the football team doesn't read that forum, those poor kids would cry themselves to sleep every night, especially Sexton.

I figure we should score a lot of points, I hope we don't give up as many as we did last time but since this supposed to be a better team. Who knows?
Talent alone should make it a 30 point game. They are short and small our bigs should dominate them with ease down low, hell our guards should dominate them
down low.

Especially Sexton, last week I shouted out loud about Sexton going into the game and two plays later he throws a pick, but going back to basketball. Can't wait for this season to start and getting to see this season live.

"I mean … simple as that. It ain't about that... I mean it's... It's not about that... At all. You know what I'm saying I mean... But it's...it's easy … to, to talk about... It's easy to sum it up when you're just talking about practice. We're sitting in here...and we in here talking about practice. I mean, listen, we're talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, we talking about practice. Not a game. "

Taking from this silly thread, it's gonna be a long season.

Averett's site seems to think this is an exhibition game. Is it an exhibition game for us?

It can be an exhibition for them and a regular season game for us.

Does Bello get the starting nod for the clinic he put on against Tusculum?

I would have to say definitely yes. He really played well in that game.

At the Tusculum game, Captain' and I were marveling at the explosiveness of Bello's first step. Granted, he was defended by d2 players, but he left them glued to the floor. I'm excited to see what he can do against better competition (not that we'll see that in this game).

From what I understand, Cromer continues to score in bunches in practice. Would be hard to start Bello over him at this point I would think. The roster in the game notes indicates the same starting 5 as in the Tusculum game.
