On the bright side, we have a really good kicker.

Game Day: Miami
Pass protection has been iffy all season and very bad the last few games. Add that to the list of things needing upgrades.

Exactly, the quit argument is stupid. Can't wait till next year when a lot more young guys with actual talent are playing on defense.

All of your old, crappy, English favorites are going straight to the bench next year. Enjoy their last 2 games.

Game Day: Miami
Over 12k reported as attendance. Most of them must have been disguised as bleachers.

RE: Game Day: Miami
I don't want to make excuses for Creighton, and I'm as disappointed in this team as anyone, but I think that we weren't a good team to start the season and EMU lacked any depth except for maybe running-back. Losing two starting defensive lineman, two starting offensive lineman, starting middle linebacker etc... doomed this team to be one of the worst in the nation. I think that next year if we have a little more depth at defensive line we have to look at going to a four man front on defense. The funny thing is that I thought this team was going to be really bad and if you look at my posts from August I was predicting two wins and hoping for a miracle and maybe getting 4. After the first few games and being competitive I think we all got too hopeful. When you step back, look at this roster, look at last years team, this season makes perfect sense. Next year we should see some improvement in depth with all the redshirts becoming available and O'Connor and Harris returning on defense. I continue to be impressed with Anthony Brown, the kid can flat out hit and he had a nice interception today. Let me close by saying this, the quarterback competition should be wide open next year, Bell, Roback, Pensyl, Isaac Stiebling, or one of the walk-ons, they all should be given every opportunity to lead the offense. I'm not blaming Roback or Bell, the offensive line has been terrible the last few games, but Bell's arm is not good enough, and Roback refuses to stop throwing the ball up for grabs or protect the football. We will have talent at running back, and tight end, Cody Tuttle is a good football player, we need a quarterback and Bell and Roback might not be the guy next season.

EMU only loses 4 or 5 starters total. Hopefully O'Connor doesn't go to another school for his 5th year.

The number of guys coming back is irrelevant, because most of the guys coming back lack talent. The improvement in this team will come from guys who are currently unknowns.

Agree with almost everything Emdypo said as well. Watching Bell & Roback inspires zero confidence that either have what it takes to lead a turnaround of the program. The 3 man front is definitely the wrong scheme without a stud NG, scrap it the day the season ends.

Sorry man, nothing personal. It's just that I've been hearing this same line of thinking for the past 25 years, regardless of the coach. Personally, my favorite was Rasnick, followed by Geynk. I'm more of an offensive guy though.

They must be, as suggested on the main board, having some 'marketing schemes', e.g. buy a ticket to one game and get another free or for a buck.

And then, as the season in Oxford was disappointing, they don't use the tickets.

That said, I'd guess the number of attendees was much less than say 5K.

RE: Game Day: Miami
While I've been supportive of CC this was easily the worst offensive performance this year. I really do put this loss on the offense, we had two new starters on the offensive line Armstrong and Hickey both rs frosh and clearly the line's performance suffered with 9 sacks given up. I'm assuming Hurcombe and Gardiner were injured. The offensive line has generally been one of the bright spots this season. Fortunately its that EMU is trying to get one JUCO giant O llineman to join this class giving more time for players like Armstrong and Hickey to mature.

Yes there were a comments before that neither Roback or Bell maybe the QB, I like to see what Pensyl and the Fort Wayne frosh QB verbal bring to the table.

Frustrating loss and a step back for the offensive unit. Injuries have plagued EMU the entire football season and it is apparent that we don't have the players yet to provide the depth when they happen.

Injuries have depleted the OL, like they had previously done to the DL.

If I understand it correctly, our LT and RG, were out and a poster said Wylie was playing hurt.

Our OL, when healthy, isn't a problem. I really think DEPTH is a problem.

The good news, and I'll double check, is that our starting OL will return intact next year.

The bad news is that the 2-deep backups are all CC recruits and I'm not sure of their abilities or potential.

OL could be a problem in the future.

RE: Game Day: Miami
Honestly we have 5 redshirt frosh players being depth at two deep, lots of room for improvement in their next three years and they are already getting playing time. The three redshirt freshmen in the 2015 class were higher rated than the five in the 2014 class so I see some potential for the OL to keep improving and get better.
