I simply cannot fathom us losing to Charlotte. It's not even in the realm of realistic possibility (or shouldn't be)

Remember Nicholls State, Memphis, ODU, and now UTEP?

5-7 is definitely on the cards now.

5-7 might actually be a blessing in disguise. At 6-6, with a bowl game in Albuquerque, New Orleans, or Tucson, the call will go out to buy those bowl game tickets and show other potential conference homes that we have a supportive fan base.

I understand your opinion, but I'll probably buy a ticket or two to the bowl game and just have them donated to local youth, or whatever the procedure is. I guess I just feel like that is supporting the program (and our efforts to get to a better conference) and not a show of approval of the current coach, but I can see how people can see it the other way.

I would not have thought it to be likely, but Charlotte may have found their QB, and we might not have anything to play for except pride. I did not have 10-2 expectations like a few, but I pegged them as no worse than 6-6. Let's see how it goes...

But pride is still important.

The only one I'd put in the realm of Charlotte is Nicholls State. The others were far from 90% chance to win.

Unfortunately, per Massey, the win chance for Charlotte has now fallen under 90% at this point. It now reads as 87%, and I'm pretty sure earlier this year it was around 95%. Shows which way this season is going.
