BS on the targeting call.....not in any way a dirty or dangerous play. Do we not have refs, with enough common sense, to decide what warrants an ejection. I know, err the side of caution but that was just wrong!

Can't rally blame the refs.
Unfortunately they have to follow the rule as written, and they are not given a chance to determine intent. Intent should have been added to the rule to allow the refs to better judge each situation.

I do support what the rule was originally intended for. But I hate the rule as written. For a play like this one, what the heck is the defender supposed to do in this situation, when the receiver suddenly crouches down?

Shouldn't the UCF coaches complain to the refs? I've heard the band continue playing many times into the huddle and snap

24-13, Tulsa so far. But time of possession is starting to get pretty heavily UCF and Tulsa keeps turning the ball over.
