They are ranked correctly. It is Bama that is not.

Exactly, if OM is ranked correctly, then the Bama ranking is way out of line.

The eSECpn has to protect their investment. They know Bama and LSU bang heads this weekend and they have to set it up so they can make sure an SEC team is in the playoffs. Even though this has been a very down year for the SEC.

The best thing that could happen to the Tigers and college football in general would be for Ole Miss to run the table and beat Florida in the rematch. There is no way that even the eSECpn can push a 2 loss team for the playoffs and no way they can pick someone else in the SEC if the champion is not able to make it.

Correct, way overrated as we learned in the playoffs last year.

I would love for Ole Miss to win out because it would mean that Memphis would forever be mentioned as the reason why they missed the playoffs that year similar to Memphis is the reason Peyton didn't play for a championship at UT.

Of course, holding onto the ball is as much a part of the game of football as blocking, tackling and completing passes. So is creating turnovers by stripping the ball loose from runners.

Technically it is true. Bama wiped the floor with OM. They just did not hang onto the ball. When Ole Miss had no losses or even one loss it was positive to promote OM by saying they beat Bama. Now they have lost to us OM has lost it's luster and the ESECPN have to spin it that way to make Bama look better.

Ehhh? Are we now making excuses for Alabama? Old Miss beat them - end of story. In fact, Old Miss was up by 19 points late in the 4th quarter. It was just the end of the game where the Red Elephants made the run. Sure they turned it over. Part of the game. Certainly was not a floor wiping by Bama. You don't get credit for getting more yards than another team.

Old Miss is rated appropriately. Alabama is way too high.
