But did we even have Memphis Madness this year?

I live in FL now so I may have missed an article

If we did how many fans attended??

Yes? Sort of? They cancelled it then kind of half uncancelled it and called it a fan appreciation night but everyone was still calling it Memphis Madness. The whole thing was pretty poorly promoted. Only about 500 people showed up. No I did not forget a zero.

Bowen thinking it cost too much cancelled it. Then after hearing from the fan base they decided to un-cancel it quietly but did not promote it at all. Many casual fans didn't even know it was happening. Penny wise and dollar foolish.

What kind of "casual fan" doesn't watch the sports news, or talk to anyone, or read the paper, or get on the internet? It may not have been over-hyped, but it was pretty well disseminated that it was happening. I live in Nashville and still knew when and where it was happening. Didn't sound like something I would want to attend, but I knew about it.
