Could be highest rated regular season game in AAC short history.(Any AAC home game under espn contract)

5.997 million tuned in.

Higher than osu vs Rutgers and
Osu pen state
The previous two weeks on abc 8 o'clock

Just more proof that an 8 team playoff with a Cinderella/Underdog element would be a money maker just like in the NCAA Tournamrnt.

And this:

Locally, the game had an 18.1 in Temple home market Philadelphia — the market’s highest on record for college football on ABC (dates back to 2004).

Why is Penn State vs Ohio State 10/25/08 listed twice. Column 3 and column 5?

That night was a very rainy night in Philly as we waited for game 3 of the World Series to start after 10p.

This is a big deal. That just blew the other games the last decade out of the water. Over Ohio St., Penn St., and Michigan.

Philly is the fourth largest DMA in the nation!

Of course, Notre Dame played a huge role too, but that puts Temple and the AAC on the map for real....

Thank the conference. They are doing a good job of promoting Temple, Memphis and Houston right now.

Perhaps there were two ABC feeds in the Philly area. The column 5 is blue, so perhaps that was some kind of PSU feed since that's PSU's color. Column 3 is red, OSU's color, and that could have been their feed.
