RE: Things May Get Interesting for the Heels - AP
What is interesting is the teams in front of UNC. The 4 Big 12 schools still have to play each other. At least three will lose and maybe all four. Florida still has to play FSU and Bama. They're not beating both of them. I think they're going to lose both. Michigan St plays Ohio State this weekend. Notre Dame still has to play at Stanford. From an AP poll perspective, UNC has a chance to be in the top 7 come ACCCG time.
The CFP poll is going to be intriguing.

Just imagine where you would be ranked if your idiot coach hadn't tried to get cute against South Carolina.

You are 100% correct. But, we all forget about it with three more wins!

Don't remind me. However, I do believe that loss helped shape the team today. Between that game and the comeback against GT, the team finally grew up.

Pitt lost against three Top 15 teams by a combined 22 points. I must say, that's not bad at all.

ACC is a much better and stronger conference than the media is giving it credit for.

Yes it is. And just a notch below the AAC.
BTW, North Carolina has no business jumping Houston.
Your schedule is being held against you. You have some nice wins Louisville, Cincy, Memphis, Vandy. The rest of the schedule is atrocious. That coupled with the fact you've escaped your last two games at home.

No...it isn't. Your teams just don't have the depth...neither does your conference for that matter...

Look I caught a Cardinal! You ought to be the last to speak. Glad you did though. You have four good losses (Auburn, Florida St., Clemson, and Houston)

If you want to be a champion no loss is a good loss. There are close losses, blowouts, "bad call" games, woulda coulda shoulda games, but in the end they are all losses and losing stinks every time.
Getting ripped off ruined Duke's year. Why? Because unjust or not it's a loss and they want to win. If Auburn plays Alabama close but loses it almost hurts more than getting distanced. But both hurt, a lot.
If you want to know what kind of fans you have ask them to look at the schedule before the season starts and count the wins. I like the guys who say, "We have a few really tough games but we could win them all." I hate the ones that say, "We could go 8-4 or 7-5 and make a decent bowl." Give me a guy who plans to win them all every time. Even if disappointed he is usually figuring out what has to be done next time. The other guy will simply accept losing a certain number of games a year and feel fine with it.
BTW: I like Carolina's chances against the Tigers. They have a defensive front that can match up with Clemson. If Clemson scores 31 I think they win. If Clemson scores less than 24 I think they lose.

If you're right and UNC comes in at #7 (I know you said "could" and not "would") and ends up playing Clemson in the ACCG in NC, the tickets to that game will be out of this world, as will the ratings. I would also imagine that, as long as UNC doesn't get steamrolled by Clemson, the ACC would have two BCS equivalent teams at the worst, with a high possibility of a FF team and a BCS team. We could also end up not having to share bowl revenue with ND if they make the FF. I think that in such a situation, ND eats what they kill, but isn't included in the ACC payout pool. No OB aside, this could be a decent year for the ACC - especially if VT can beat UVA.
