Just a thought.

Someone asked if I considered Arkansas a big win for Campbell. Winning a non-conference game on the road in the SEC is great.

Winning a conference game against an opponent you haven't beaten for 5 years in front of a packed house on national television is bigger. NIU players knows how to win. UT played soft at home last night.

All the loss did was confirm in the minds of the Toledo area sports fan, that UT is still just a small time school that can't really be taken seriously. I'm sure they will also think twice before returning to another weeknight game.

Poinsettia Bowl reps were in the Glass Bowl last night, scouting a MAC opponent for Boise. Toledo should just turn that down, even thought I can't see it being offered to them after last night's awful performance. Boise would destroy Toledo. They should just accept a more even match-up, against some Sun Belt team. Maybe Arkansas St is up for another game.

Great title for a thread! It is almost as if NIU enters this game every year expecting to win and finds a way to do so while UT enters the game every year expecting to lose and finds a way to do so. There is definitely some bad karma associated with this game from the Rocket perspective.

Oh well, maybe NIU will be invited to join a different conference and Toledo will be able to return to its rightful spot atop the MAC----after all we did get rid our nemesis Marshall but only to find a new dominatrix in NIU. (tic)

Isn't that the truth, comparing NIU to Marshall? It like UT just fits as a send on place MAC contender. They just can't win the big game. If they could do it last night, not sure they ever will
