MAC West
Western is now in first but has to play at NIU & UT the final weeks of the season. Beat CMU. Also has to play BGSU.

UT lost to NIU, who lost to CMU, who lost to WMU. UT has to play at CMU next Tuesday night. Has to play at BGSU yet.

NIU hosts Western coming up in a few weeks.

Western is in the drivers seat but probably has the toughest schedule with BGSU, NIU and UT left to play.

I really like CMU, I think that they are the sleeper in the MAC and should get more love. All of their loses except for against WMU came against power five schools. Next week will be huge as I have to think that Western will lose one of those three games but would still hold a tie breaker over CMU. The Toledo game at Kelly Shorts is a must win for the Chips.

I'm not a huge believer in NIU especially now that Hare is out but they do usually peak at the right time.

I don't know if the Rockets can win out with CMU, BGSU and WMU left.

The west is gonna be crazy unlike the east where BG should have it almost wrapped up unless Ohio somehow wins tomorrow.

If CMU can beat Toledo, I like their chances because I don't see WMU running the gauntlet versus BG, and then NIU & Toledo on the road.

Western also has to play Ball State who scored 41 points at Northern. No other MAC team has scored even 30 against them.

Don't get me wrong Western has a very good football team but they have by far the toughest remaining schedule after Ball State this week. Home vs BG, @ NIU and @ UT.

What hurts Central Michigan is that the Broncos narrow victory against them serves as a tie breaker so the Chips need Western to lose two of their remaining four.

Central has probably the easiest remaining schedule. Bye this week, host UT next week, which will be tough and then they have just Kent State and EMU.

RE: MAC West
As a WMU fan, I do bet my male innocence on WMU not going 3-0 against BGSU, @NIU, and @Toledo.

WMU will have at Least a loss on that. I hope just 1 loss, to BGSU. If so, WMU wins the West. But all in all, anything can happen for better or worse. I saw Toledo being weak with their not-so-great QB, and NIU losing Hare + TLL. Who knows.

Just Row the Boat! :)

They don't have to though, at least when it comes to CMU. CMU needs WMU to lose twice.

That's what I meant. I don't see them winning two out of those last 3.

I see Toledo losing the remainder of the season. The NIU loss is demoralizing and I think will have implications down the line.
