If you say you did predict an 8-0 start for this season, I want proof.

Before the season, I would have been very happy to go 8-4 this season, given the fact that we were losing 8 starters on defense. Now, we sit here with 8 wins in our pocket and a chance (slim, but still a chance) to make the 4 team playoff for the National Championship.

7-5 and a bowl game was my expectation. They have exceeded.

I predicted 10-2, hope I'm wrong.

I thought we might be 7-1 now. I thought our defense would be better than it is. I had no idea our offense and Lynch would be as good as it is.

I was thinking 7-5 or 8-4. Of course, now that 8-0 is here, greed has kicked in........

6-2 at this point, losses to Cincy and Ole Miss.

10-2 AAC Champs with a loss to Ole Miss and 1 of Temple, Houston or Navy. G5 Representative in the Access Bowl.

I was expecting 9 wins. Safe to say we'll get there. ;-)

I considered OM a L and Cincy 50/50.

I was in the 9-3 range.

This is so much fun we just made plans to go to Houston.
The only game we've missed live was BGSU.

Will probably skip temple part 1 so we can go to temple part 2.

I said 10-2, but honestly that was a pick with my heart, not my head. I would have been tickled with 8 or 9 wins. I think Vegas had out season total at 8 or 8.5, which was probably about right.

I think I predicted 8 wins due to a bunch of new defensive starters. I have, however, seen the light.

I had us going 10-2 on the yr with the only loss (so far) being at BG. I also had us losing at Houston.

I expected 2-3 losses at least one prior to now. However, I did not think Houston and Temple would be as good as they are so I still see us with two losses, one to Houston and the Championship game. Some losses may help douse the hire Fuente fire a little.

Ditto, but I thought we'd get Ole Miss. I thought Bowling Green was a trap game, Temple at Temple for 2d year in a row unfair, and Houston is going to be a war.

I bet $200 to win $300 on us getting over 8 wins. Hoping to cash that this Saturday and with SMU still sitting out there, I'd say its still a 99.9% chance it happens even if we fall apart the next 3 weeks.

I had a similar rationale. And you know what, the defense looks about like I expected.

BUT, I underestimated just HOW good Lynch would be, and how amazing our offense as a whole would be. I knew we'd be better on O than last year, I just didn't predict this drastic leap forward.

Agreed. We're to the point now that it's odd-strange-when we don't score on a possession.

Same here. We should not forget the very narrow wins over BG and UC. The good thing is that we DID manage to win them and the team is getting stronger each week as the defense matures. One game at a time.

It's safe to say that tgrrfan's 5-7 prediction won't come true.

If we lose to Houston we probably won't be playing in the AAC championship game.... they will be playing in it.
