Turnover - you never build a consistent product and are always redoing things and starting over. 2. A good number of these guys went JuCo for a reason, typically academic problems or disciplinary issues. I don't want a rebuilt program done "the right way" to have that as it's foundation.

Isn't that the way Forbes just rebuilt the basketball program? 10 new players most JUCO or 1 year transfers? Just saying....

Basketball you can do that with, have immediate success and not destroy your APR. It's also a lot easier to manage 12 vs. 115. I don't mind a few JuCos, but they need to have been academically eligible out of high school and not have anything above a DUI record wise.
And I see ODU and Charlotte. They had to move up too soon. C-USA called and either they answered or got left. They'll be fine in 5 years similar to South Alabama. I don't know that Ga. State ever gets it fixed.
Georgia State is looking better this season, they almost beat Arkansas State this weekend, so they probably can turn it around, but if they will is a different story. ODU and Charlotte have a better foundation than Georgia State, and an easier road to turn it around.

None of these schools have played a decade.

I know. It's just ODU and Charlotte have had a better strategy for starting their programs, no offense to Georgia State because it would be nice to see you guys do well.

ODU is losing their $&@. So that is like the guy who cuts you off at 80 mph to end up at the same stop light as you.

Really? They were successful as FCS level and moved up, now losing at a higher level. Georgia State sucked at the FCS level, moved up to and still suck. ODU might be slowing down but they are still several miles farther up the road then Georgia State.

RE: The Game Plan
Several miles up the road? LOL. Looks like in the same spot looking at their current seasons. Point is you can't use the word turnaround when the history is non existent. Maybe in another 10 or 15 years you can look at all if these newbie programs and decide who was successful. USF has been around 18 years and in horrible. They need to turn it around. There is at least almost two decades of history to point to.

Oh lordy please just give it a rest. ODU has sold out every game it has ever played with last Saturday being its 46th game in a row at 20,102. BTW - 14,500 of those tickets belong to Season Ticket holders. Our next home game UTEP is also a sell out. GA State is averaging 1/2 that with several thousand of your tickets going for free to folks who don't show. ODU is currently red-shirting 34 players (FBS recruits) and has 33 freshmen or redshirt freshmen (our 1st FBS recruits) playing this year which, of course makes it tough to win. Of ODU's 10 seniors (old holdover FCS recruits) 3 play and 2 start. Next year ODU will be back to competitive and the year after that back on a roll. Our current recruited class for this year (which will be our 3rd ever FBS level) is rated 2nd or 3rd in conference USA as were our previous 2 classes. Finally, early next year ODU will make the official announcement on building a new much larger stadium to meet ticket demand. GA State is the poster child of a failed start-up and everyone studies the ODU model as the most successful start up in NCAA history (according to the NCAA). Why you need to keep coming on the ETSU board to diminish ODU I don't know but it is soooo sad.
