Enjoying this magical season but thinking of the future....
Not being negative here at all and I absolutely love what is happening this year.

Let's assume that Paxton will declare for the NFL draft and CJF is leaving for Georgia, VT, USC, or some other job opening..

What coach would you like to see take the reins ...

Someone on CJF's staff, our former defensive coordinator Odom, TCU's offensive coordinator, or someone else...

Your thoughts...

Nothing wrong with looking ahead and being prepared.

I used to say odom. But I think I'd rather have another offensive minded coach rather than a defensive one

Enjoying this magical season but thinking of the future....
As Scarlett O'Hara said "I'll think about that tomorrow."

I would like to enjoy the fact that my college team is 8-0 and has won so many in a row that I have lost count. One thing that some of you youngsters need to learn is to enjoy the moment. Now in the long run, something might go wrong, but also in the long run, we will all be dead. Why punish yourself thinking up bad stuff that might or might not happen?

Dan Kirk used to talk about taking time to "Jubilate" after a win. I think that we need a lot of jubilating right now.

Don't rush to it. Premature jubilation is a bad thing.

Premature most anything sucks, so I've heard.

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't mind it if he were fired from Texas. He's shown that he can succeed at smaller budget programs. I think he brought the "small budget" mindset to Texas, and it's taken him a while to realize that yes, you can spend endless amounts of money to go get players. He probably went on his first Texas recruiting trip and came back wondering who he was supposed to turn his gas receipts into, ha.
