WED 11/4

Ohio @ BGSU - Ohio started out strong, but are petering now. BG on the other hand, is red hot. They should win by several scores.

THUR 11/5

Buffalo @ Kent St. - This one is tough, but my gut is telling me that Kent will pull it out in a close game.

Ball St. @ WMU - Western has this one for sure, but Ball St. is not going to go down easy. I see a shoot out here.

SAT 11/7

Akron @ UMass - UMass played tough against Temple and lead UT at the half, but they just seem to lack what is needed to finish. I see another close battle, but Akron will pull it out in the end.

EMU @ Miami Will be a close game and can easily go either way. My guess is that Miami will win, but this prediction is purely a shot in the dark.

No chance huh?

Replay the OSU game for him please.
I do not need to re-watch the OSU NIU game.
However, I do take my prediction back as clearly I have failed to realize just how much UT has become the Huskies' *****. You are already coming up with excuses for the loss.

I am feeling better already about our chances to win the MAC this year. 03-cool

When was the last time WMU won anything important for football?

1. What does that have to do with my prediction? Do you have to win the MAC to make predictions on who will win and who will lose?

2. You have not beaten us yet this year, but you have lost a team that lost to us. Further, you have not beat anyone with a winning record. In fact, you have lost to a team with a losing record. So by your logic, you have no right to make a prediction01-wingedeagle

Lets see how you do tomorrow before you go talking about how you are the best team in the conference and that nobody has any rights to think differently.

And if you do win tomorrow, then Western's victory over you is going to be so much sweeter. 05-stirthepot

No respect for a defending champ. I guess we will see tomorrow.

This is potentially a great day for the MAC.

Marque match-up. Toledo gets a chance to slay the king. National TV, with no other FB or MLB going on. (We can thank K.C. for that).

Beautiful weather. Isn't the weather more like early October instead of early November. Light jacket or sweatshirt.

Great week of MACtion. :)

I wouldn't say that.... It's a 3 loss team vs. an undefeated team. More people will pick the undefeated team every day of the week. Lots of stuff about the previous years and motivation is a real factor. But the points scored in those games, and the fact that NIU was the better team in most of those, means nothing in 2015. New year, new game.

I'm comparing resume's of Arkansas State to NIU. stAte has 3 losses to Toledo, USC, and Mizzou. NIU's losses are to BC, CMU, and Ohio State. Both are pretty close in the massey and sagarin. If I was to compare talent, I would give NIU an edge. That game wasn't even close vs. a G5 top 15 team.

I don't expect a blowout like that, but if one was to predict one....it would be favoring Toledo.

TUES 11/3

NIU 28 @ #20 Toledo 34. UT gets the NIU monkey off its back but doesn't cover.

WED 11/4

Ohio 24 @ BGSU 45 Bobcats are too beat up to keep this one very close.

THUR 11/5

Buffalo 27@ Kent St. 21. Kent has a strong defense. Buffalo is a more balanced team. I see the Bulls prevailing in a close one.

Ball St. 31 @ WMU 44. Ball State has been tough to figure out this season. Some of that may be youth at QB and RB. I could see the Cardinal offense busting out in this one, but slowing WMU's balanced attack is probably beyond them.

SAT 11/7

Akron 27 @ UMass 20. I wouldn't be surprised if UMASS won this one, especially at home, but Akron's D is consistent, and UMASS has been anything but.

EMU 34 @ Miami 31. Another game where I could about flip a coin, but EMU has a good enough offense to pull this off, I'm thinking.

Nope. It is hopeless, NIU might as well save their money and time and just stay home. Have a team pizza party instead. 03-nerner

HOPELESS? HUGE NIU win! The CHAMP still stands. The West is between CMU, NIU and Toledo.

You forgot to include the team currently leading the division.

I'm not going to say that team is going to with the West, but to leave said team off of a list of contenders is nothing short of an intentional oversight.

Heck, I'm still surprised NIU won. We had no business winning that game with all that was going wrong. We played sloppy and lost two of our best players.

Our 3rd and 4th string QBs need a ton of reps. Hare is out for the season.

First off, congratulations on the win tonight. Obviously, I stand corrected in my faith that the Rockets had not just the talent, but the drive to get that monkey off of their back this year. Then again, rivalry games are weird that way and predicting their outcomes are near impossible. I know UT denies that a rivalry with between them and NIU, but I think that it is now apparent.

As for your last sentence? I am assuming that you are just trying to get my goat, or you are stupid. WMU is now in first place in the West (thank you NIU).
You still need to beat us. Good luck. 03-thumbsup

Rowers ---- you are going to get dunked by BG & Toledo and when you show up in DeKalb all wet the West will be settled.

With the knowledge WMU just does not win championships, CMU is sitting good.

BGSU -- sure. Last time NIU played BGSU with Matt Johnson as their QB, an undefeated NIU got spanked. Toledo? If Ely throws like he was against you, by no means call that a given. NIU? No TLL and no Hare. NIU's D will be key in that game. But PJ Fleck owes NIU a WMU victory, and he's not unfamiliar with DeKalb. :)
