Bill Cubit beat FIVE teams with a winning record in EIGHT season as head coach at WMU. That's an average of 0.625 wins over teams with a winning record per season.

I don't think so. Not when you're under .500 in 3 years, and never went to a conference championship game. It will get him attention and make him an earlier exit, yes. But in such a "too soon" situation with no OC/DC experience beforehand and nothing big done, places won't get him. They'll look and consider, but that's about it. At This point he's more buzz-word and headline getter of new style than anything else. Mainly because it's seen as he's GOING to prove things by getting to a MACC game & having 3 consistent winning seasons. That's why I say it's "too soon". Under .500 and no MACC visit's not gonna do it.

Going 6-6 won't necessarily be falling apart. We have Testicle Tech who we Should beat (but they can be dangerous) -- and then the big 3. Losing all of the Big 3 by a few points but beating BSU would get us to 6-6. At 7-5? Still -- under .500, no MACC visit or even losing a tie for 1st place after never having any OC/DC experience prior to this. "Too soon". End of next year is when his real interviews will be coming.

On one hand you want to believe all of college football sees Fleck as an emerging star, and the other half is hoping they see his overall record and consider him a risk.

Maybe they'll find some other things that make them reconsider.....

Risk of hiring Too Early, yeah. He is an emerging star, but has no OC/DC/HC experience before this, and 'this' is only 2.7 years so far. He's emergING -- as in, not there yet. :)

It should be some classic complaining from the 3 Stooges even though this is exactly what they want.

We won't complain about any if these.
1. PJ will be back.
2. BC had a super slim chance to be retained. They need a fresh start. (BC might land a HC job out of this though somewhere else)
3. PJ has proven adept at holding down most recruits.
4.PJ
5. He will take most, but not this year.

I think 1 is debatable. Big dolla out there in this coaching circus/storm that's brewing.
