Bowl Projections
from CBS. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball...redictions

Peach Bowl - Houston vs. Iowa

Cactus Bowl - Tempe, AZ - Buffalo* vs. Arizona
Quick Lane Bowl - CMU* vs. Miami(FL)
Bahamas Bowl - BG vs. Marshall
GoDaddy Bowl - NIU vs. Appalachian St
Boca Raton Bowl - WMU vs. ECU
Idaho Potato Bowl - Ohio vs. Utah St
Cameilia Bowl - Toledo vs. Georgia Southern

If the MAC picks up a couple extra bowls, I would hope they would put some of the better MAC teams in them. In this lineup, I would say the Cactus Bowl would be the best bowl (due to location and opponent). But I would hate it if they send Buffalo.

RE: Bowl Projections
Playing an opponent such as Georgia Southern in our bowl game doesn't sound appealing whatsoever. I wish we had a better chance at playing a P5 school, would love to play an Arizona or Miami (FL) as Buffalo and CMU are projected to do.

+1 but realistically those P5 teams want an easy win as they can get while our tie in bowls want the best attendance and team they can get.

Yeah. If Toledo ends up like 10-2, or similar, a bowl game against Georgia Southern just doesn't sound like much of a reward for a great season.

Luckily, these projections are just for fun.

Bowl Projections
Anyone think these bowl predictions have any relevance to how things will turn out?

I'd love a good wager with anyone who does. $5 for every team that is correctly predicted in that bowl. I'd doubt I'd have to pay more than 1 or 2 and would collect on the rest.

In other words, you might as well pick teams out of hat. You'd have as good a chance of being right.

The specific bowl and team no...but which at large bowl game the MAC gets and what P5 team is likely to play in that game is fun to know.

The MAC picks have almost no order other than the GoDaddy released their #1 pick last year so I would expect that they would have the #1 pick this year. Then after that it would be up to the MAC office, the bowls, the individual MAC ADs and those at large bowls...in that order.

Quick Lane Bowl - MAC vs. Miami(FL)
The best team who did not go to the MACC will get this bowl game.

Beat NIU, CMU, BG and WMU and say BG (again) in the MACC and Toledo could be around #10 in the nation... 03-cloud9

BTW, a plug for the AAC. What a great year for them in football...

Hard to imagine ONE G5 conference having three top 25 caliber teams.

I was being facetious. Midnight said that they were predicting nine bowls, so I was just having a little fun with the way it was worded. Stop taking the world so seriously and have a little fun. 03-2thumbsup

Indeed, these schedules are 'backloaded' with tough games with the best playing the best and for the MAC it is NIU @ NIU.

Memphis has to go through the gauntlet and, of course, so does Temple (remember the ND game?), Houston, and Toledo).

I can see a 10 - 1 Toledo team and one AAC team in the top 25 on Nov 30.

Same reason a P5 school would think playing Toledo would be not very exciting for their team and fan base. Same snobbery MAC style.
