BAYLOR has played no one. The best win is Texas Tech who is 7th in the conference and the 2nd best is a 3-3 West Virginia

Texas Tech's 4 losses are to Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State

West Virginia's 3 losses are to Baylor, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State

so those losses won't count as much in perception and TT & WV will be opined to be tougher competition than Bowling Green and Cincinnati. That's probably a correct opinion.

Our schedule and our opponents' schedules do not have enough weight to put us up there with the big names.

And those two teams compare to Ole Miss how?

Do any of those teams have a good out of conference to show anything? All it means is they're better than Texas tech. Losing 4 games doesn't make Texas tech good or quality. Look at the games they've won.

Based upon who we've played, and others played....we should be top 10. But, given the cartel 5 bias, we could be as low as 15. I hope the committee makes a statement and places Memphis in the top 10, though I'm not convinced it'll happen. Still, I'm so freakin excited about this season and our team, I'm totally happy with everything so far.

Here's my view, if we lost the next game, I'd still be happy (after the appropriate mourning time of course). This season has made me happy with them and our Coach. BTW, I think he stays with us.
