What if the Pacific Coast League became a third major league?
In 1952 the PCL was given the 'Open' classification, in that it was above the AAA level. The Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants of course ended up moving to LA and San Fran in 1958 causing the league to drop back down to AAA.

Could the PCL have ever actually become a Major League though? Most of us here are realignment junkies, so I thought y'all might be intrigued by a third major league forming and how different MLB might be today.
