Sorry to hear about Vad.
You guys were poised for a run deep into the playoffs this year. Maybe the back up qb can rise to the occasion and the team can rally around losing Vad. Best of luck the rest of the way.

RE: Sorry to hear about Vad.
"Next man up"
Our season is far from over. I actually feel pretty good with Schor behind center. As good as Lee? No way, but he is no scrub by any means.
I am waaaay more concerned about the play of our defense than losing Lee. Even if Lee were starting the entire season, not sure we would have the ability to go far in the playoffs.
If our D is solid, we will be just fine.
Certainly not all doom and gloom from this fan. Concern... absolutely!

Thanks for the classy post.

Agreed. Instead of putting up 50-60 a game we will put up 35-45. As long as our D doesn't give up that many points we will be fine.

Sorry to hear about Vad.
Hate that Vad is done for the year. At least we'll see how Schor will be for the next few years

To lazy to look it up, but how much eligibility does he have left after this year.

Roster lists him as a Soph. I'm going with 3 years left to play 2. Would think he'd be listed differently if the transfer affected his status.

Sounds like he's in the same position as Vad was in that transferring down doesn't cost you a year.

RE: Sorry to hear about Vad.
His scholarship was rescinded by Miami (OH) after new coaching staff came in. He sat out a semester and spent the spring of 2014 at Lackawanna College. Last year he was a Freshman at JMU. So he has this year and 2 more years of eligibility.

RE: Sorry to hear about Vad.
This really is his job to lose. If he plays poorly this season, I would expect the staff to bring in a transfer QB. I just don't see Withers letting it ride with Schor if he doesn't play well.
Obviously the kid is going to make some mistakes... hopefully not enough to cost us games.

Correct last year was a true FR and DIDN'T redshirt, so this is his 2nd year playing, and he has 2 more left..

Like someone else said on another thread, we'll likely to see a transfer regardless of how Schor plays. I pretty much agree. Unless Schor is just lights out AND Etheridge is really, really, good, then I think we see both a transfer QB and high school QB signee..

Don't forget, this guy is already on the commitment list for next year.

Why is is assumed Schor won't be our starter next year/Wither wasn't planning on having him as the starter next year.

He was a 3-star QB that was suppose to go to an FBS school. Not saying that it means anything but thats a better recruit than you normally see in the CAA.

Plus, what little he has done on the field so far has shown a lot of promise.

3 star by who? Not by Rivals
http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiti...NlYwNzcg--

Regardless, he looks very good and the future could be bright with him, but you still need to get commits (HS and/or transfer) from 1-2 QBs practically every season. Guys de committ, or they show up but within a season or have changed positions, or left the team, etc.
