Exclamation Toledo offering $15 tickets for the NIU game...15 dollars...
http://utrockets.com/news/2015/10/29/WVB...51528.aspx

Biggest game of the year and you can watch it live in person for 15 measly dollars. If we don't get at least 25k with an offer like this, there's no hope.

Any EARLY press coverage?

If not, how are people to know about the $15? The big game? The, once you're off the couch you'll have a great time feeling? Advert time is $$$. Maybe they should have a count-down as tickets (hopefully) disappear.

I sent this on to a couple of my friends who were looking at the game. UT at least earned two more ticket sales from this deal. I feel a W, it's my wife's birthday and we're having a birthday tailgate to celebrate at her request. She said she wanted two things for her birthday UT to beat the Huskies and a tailgate... gentlemen take note, this is how you know you chose the right one.

Should offer them to Lion's fans so they can go watch a relatively local team play some real football. Proving they can lose on any continent.

Why would you only run the promotion until last night? Not many people are going to walk up on a Tuesday night and pay $35 for a ticket and $10 to park. Have seen almost no marketing for the game... whats the deal?

I don't recall seeing a recent Rocket Insider on TV, but on the news shows they have at least been dropping lines about "the Rockets' big game," even during the weather portion. Those little things help.

Agree. What is the point about a promotion that only a few people know about? The only place I saw it promoted was on the Toledo Rockets Facebook site. UT has the perfect chance to line casual fans up for season ticket purchases next year; perfect weather, perfect opponent, etc. Channel 13 mentioned tomorrow night's game several times during the weather this morning. I could see where someone watching the weather might have called for tickets. Then I could see that same person saying "8pm and $35? No Thanks?".

I have said this before... NIU is one of the highest profile teams we get in our stadium year in and year out. 35$ would be a steal for any other top 25 team playing a decent caliber opponent like the Huskies. Why is 35$ so expensive? Heck how is 15$ expensive!?

An Excellent idea to sell tickets at a discount!
A full stadium is worth much more in National publicity than the lost $20 * seats that would have sold for $35 less (extra seats sold for $15).

With bad weather in the Midwest and the game live on ESPN2, the discounted ticket sales are a brilliant move.

How hard will it be to find parking at Toledo Tuesday Night?
What does Toledo charge for parking?

RE: Toledo offering $15 tickets for the NIU game...15 dollars...
Parking will not be easy being that class is in session and many commuters take classes in the evening due to working during the day. Parking is $10 a $5 hike over previous years. Sure $35 might not sound like much, but for a family of four its pays their cable bill and Internet for the month by watching it on tv. $35x4=$140 +$10 for parking. $4 gets you a cold small piece of pizza. I'm not just bitching to *****. I am just frustrated with the lack of communication and marketing that they do. For God's sake they have one of the best sales programs in the country. You would think that could and should equate to having good sales and marketing people selling the Toledo brand and getting butts in the seats.

I'm a huge rocket fan. I drove to Durham,NC to see the basketball team play Duke, I've bought jerseys in the auction (that I had to call the university to find out where and when the auction was because it wasn't listed anywhere). My family has been season ticket holders for football and basketball since they played at Centennial hall. Our biggest complaint has always been the lack of game day atmosphere which gets the average fairweather fan to become a season ticket holder and diehard fan. When high school recruits turn on the TV and see a jam packed glass bowl on a Tuesday night is it worth it to sell tickets at a very reduced rate (or give them away) to make that happen? I think so.

I have a group of 14 people going(they all graduated from other universities), most have never been to a UT game. You know why they are going? I was able to get free tickets. What if two people end up getting the fan plan next year if they have a good time, see the value of the fan plan and become life long rocket fans.

Until demand is higher for tickets, my opinion is get butts in the seats because it will show recruits and the people watching at home that Rocket fans will show up any day of the week to watch a game and pack the place.
