RE: 2017 Old Dominion Basketball Recruiting Den
Nice shot, but I heard that there was .07 seconds on the clock. Is it possible to catch, dribble one time, and shoot in that amount of time? Not taking anything away from the young man, but I was just wondering.

The clocks don't register that low. More than likely you read :07 (7 seconds) on the clock. Plenty of time to dribble several times and get off a shot. But I didn't see the game so I don't know what happened or what time was on the clock.

I was there that night. There was 0.8 sec and the kid from Woodside hit the 2nd FT to put them up 3. Bethel grabbed the ball out of the net and quickly got it in. It may have taken the ref by surprise how quick it was inbounded because he dribbled once and then let it go. Not sure if he got it off in time but they gave it to him. Ironically a Woodside player hit a runner at the end of the 1st OT from near half court that I thought they would count but didn't. That would have won it for them.

Thanks for clearing it up. I knew it wasn't 7 seconds, in 7 seconds you could dribble the ball backwards the length of the court and hit a layup.

Thanks for that update jumpshooter.

When I heard coach Jones description of Randy Hayes as, tough, hard nosed, a winner, I couldn't help but think of Ben Finney. I would take Ben Finney any day.

Randy will be a fan fav, big 6-5 guard who can play through contact and the way the refs call the games this year, that's what we need and he has an outside shot. Also plays good D.

The surprise is Kah, man the kid can shoot 36% from 3, and 84% FT.

These are both good numbers for JuCo players.
