CUSA may find it difficult to collect exit fees.

I am fairly sure that that the "exit fees" from CUSA are withheld from the disbursements. No one leaving CUSA will be writing a check, they just lose the money that was going to be paid to them.

RE: CUSA Exit Fees
In CUSA they don't "collect" exit fees, they simply withhold two years of conference revenue that equals out to roughly $3 Million. That's how the bylaws are written.

In the case of Marshall, Southern Miss and ODU.....all three are leaving CUSA early and entering the Sunbelt in July of 2022 so the financial loss for the schools will only be around the $1.5 Million range.

"Technically" the loss is less than $1.5 considering the conference revenue payout for each school will be in the $2.5 Million range with the newly adjusted Sunbelt TV deal. That increase in revenue from the Sunbelt will offset a lot of that loss for Marshall, Southern Miss and ODU starting in 2022.

Marshall does not have the highest alltime winning percentage in college football history.

Is it official the three schools going to SBC are moving this next season? I hadn’t seen that.

This undercuts those claims about grants of rights, overplaying of hands, &c &c.

Hope we get to this point and not worth starting a separate thread.
The A10 gets 2 Million if you leave with a year or less notice and 1 Million for 2 years notice.

So, how about 18 months notice?

not sure guess 1Million as more than a year notice. May have said it wrong. Under a year 2M over a year 1M
