The big east didnt suck... it was flawed post 2000's but still very good. If equal revenue distribution and all sports split from catholics, it would still be around.. IMO

Borned and raised in NY i loved BE basketball in the 80's and 90's... huge st johns fan until i attended ECU.. but they are atill my 2nd fav.

You are either stupid or consistently misinformed. Which do you own up to?

The American is the Big East... and past members of the Big East have had ups and downs, but none of them as DOWN as Temple use to be. It was the wake up call of being booted out of the Big East is what woke up Temple to begin turning things around.

I forget what year it was, but they were ranked #2 mid season at some point. The post-2004 Big East was close to getting a team in the BCS Championship Game multiple times. West Virginia was ranked #2 going into the last week of the season in 2007 and blew it against Pitt. Cincinnati was #3 in the 2009 final BCS rankings.

The Big East was better than a lot of people give it credit for. After Miami left, there were no signature programs, but it was still a good league. Only having 8 schools while everyone else had 10-12 hurt our perception, as there were less opportunities for ranked teams and bowl appearances.
