Their Facebook page shows they are an ABA team. Suppose this must be some sort of a semi-pro basketball league. ??
I am thinking the team needs a media rep and maybe a new name.

First Home game @ Wings Event Center November 8th

Kalamazoo Pure to kick off inaugural ABA basketball

Schools attended listed on the roster would be helpful trying to generate interest.
One piece of the puzzle would be:
Khandell Bell - K-Central & KVCC

Predictable fights will break out. Officials assaulted and payroll not met.

Sounds like WMU intramural games with Ron Winter.

Who cares?

Not even NBA 'D' league.

The ABA that had teams merge with NBA was formed in 1967, not 1957.

Who's going to pay $17 a seat to watch players who couldn't make it in D-I (or below) basketball?

I didn't (wouldn't) pay $17 to watch "Semi-Pro," and that was mildly entertaining.

Seriously bad roster. A bunch of washed up city rec players from Norrix and Benton Harbor. Not sure that group could run with Kalamazoo Central.

Salad is right. They won't make rent, won't make payroll, and fights will break out on the floor and in the stands.

Would payroll be subject to minimum wage?

They're the Toledo Rockets' farm system. Could be good.

Originally, I set the bar pretty low. So a comeback would be a gross overstatement.

But no. Navigating stairs and getting out of chairs is my current challenge.
