Another Interesting Ranking
USA Today released the College Football Computer Composite Week 8 rankings today. The CFCC combines five of the computer formulas used in the old Bowl Championship Series standings to, in theory, remove the human element from college football rankings. It's an interesting ranking for sure:

College Football Computer Composite - Week 8

SPOILER ALERT: Memphis comes in at #11

This is the first ranking I've seen this year that gives me a glimmer of hope that, if we can manage to win out and win the AAC Championship game, the selection committee would have to give us serious consideration for a playoff spot.

The G5 field is getting much less crowded. Just keep winning.

RE: Another Interesting Ranking
Theoretically, if everything went right we could possibly finish the season with 6 victories over top 25 teams...

BGSU
olemiss
Navy
Houston
Temple (twice)

Oh of course. Unfortunately, Ole Miss had to go and lose before they played us...

Any ranking that has Iowa at 6 is a joke. Look at their schedule:

I'm surprised we haven't seen the Toledo fluffers tout this poll. 03-lmfao

Pitt, Wisconsin and Northwestern are not scrubs

I would say that is better than Ole Miss, Cinci and BGSU.

Glancing at their schedule though, I don't think they have a game left against a team with a winning record.

3-4 UTK is at 36, right behind 5-1 Navy. Sure hope they don't make bowl eligibility, but they've got some cupcakes coming up too. Hope UNT plays them tough in Knoxville next month, lol.

They are about where we would be had we been Top 25 in the preseason... They knew what they were doing.
