I took the CBS 1 to 128 rankings and organized it by conference.

We are in between the G5 and P5 group...

Temple beating ND would go a long way to closing that gap

Actually that would not make much of a difference (even if temple went to number 1).

What would help was if the last 5 teams weren't all lower than 90. If UCF was a top 25 team this year than we would be very close to the ACC (avg would jump to 58)

You can certainly say that the first year, but you were co-champs last year along with Memphis and Cincy. And Memphis was the only ranked team at the end of the season.

I agree, I was not criticizing UCF. I was just mentioning what would take to bring us closer to the ACC

Very glad that top-to-bottom, football is growing far more competitive than it was the first year.

At our expense, certainly, but this means when we get our shot again, it will be far easier to ascend the rankings when it is understood the American has STRONG football.

Wouldn't UCF moving up push all their conference opponents down?

Can't say that our team is helping this year. It's just....well.....BYU just has too many gigantic white guys. There, I said it. It's demoralizing. Now i know how it feels to lose to Duke's basketball team.

I think the issue is that they have more 22 year old players. They are men!
