He's headed somewhere early, but I don't think the Bears can dump Cutler's contract.

They were talking on SiriusXM this morning about Heisman candidates... the host of the show is a voter. He listed his top four (in no particular order), and Lynch was on the list.

That would make Lynch the highest drafted NFL player from Memphis, in Memphis Tigers history

Currently the worst teams in the NFL are:
Ravens and Lions: 1-6
Titans: 1-5
Chiefs, Chargers, Browns, Texans, Jaguars, 49er's: 2-5
Cowboys, Bears, Buccaneers: 2-4

Ravens, Lions and Titans probably won't take a quarterback. Chiefs and Texans do for sure need one.

Texans would be a good fit. They need a decent QB and Mallett is all but gone. The coach wanted to cut him already but he's still on the team because they need depth at QB and in a bad way.

The only thing that might keep them from taking Lynch is that he is often compared to Mallett since he's about the same size. Lynch is certainly better though.

Why is that funny?!! Other than we kicked their butt, they absolutely have the best OL, DT, and possibly WR.

To be fair the NFL guy who made the comparisons said that Lynch was Direct TV Mallet vs cable Ryan Mallet. Based off of those commercials it was an compliment not a diss

It would appear that some of the databases on this are confused pre 1994 in that they have the player from Memphis State.

Harry Shuch was the third pick back in the '60s.

Dear top high school quarterbacks,

If you come to Memphis, you too will have the opportunity to fulfill your dream of being a top draft pick in the NFL.
