William and Mary was awesome enough to play us in 1978 when we were in our 7th year of football and continued to play us until we joined the same football conference.

There are plenty of us who are not in a rush to join another conference or "move up" until we find a "suitable landing" spot. I could have turned every single thread last week as to why we should stay FCS since all of the great stuff happened while we are FCS but I did not and will not.


This is my favorite game of the year As the week has moved on I am more optimistic we can win and certainly hope we do mainly because Tribal will be distraught. I love beating the Tribe but his anguish would be more gratifying.

W&M is our longest played opponent- 37 times, with us leading 21-16. I always enjoy the games with them as they are tough and well coached. That said, we bounce back for a hard fought 34-27 win with Schor overcoming a couple of early mistakes.

I don't get distraught, Dukesfan71. I have been the definition of level since 1971. I predict we jump out to a 37-6 lead.

The thing that you most need to be concerned about is that you and I predicted the exact same score. With my track record of predictions, that is good news for the Dukes.
