That's the best part. There is some serious history between Marshall & Boise State that many don't even know about.
I believe we played them only once. That was a 1-AA semifinal game at their place which we lost. BSU then played for the National 1-AA championship in Huntington. Please enlighten to more of the history.

Yeah, we've been telling you guys about this, you were just focused on the two years where our schedule got a little screwed up due to events beyond our control. If you look at our schedule historically you see that the last few years were out of character. Since 2005, when we entered CUSA, we have averaged 1.5 P5 games a year, and that's with having none last year.

Well, in that game, we had a 24-14 halftime lead, then we pulled a Donnan (Todd variety)... One of Boise's cornerbacks had one arm... ONE FRIGGIN' ARM! And Donnan couldn't get a pass to the WR he was matched up on. Don't get me wrong, the kid was talented, but sheesh.
Then Donnan threw a 4th down(?) pass to the umpire. Pegged him. Great throw, it was just too bad that he didn't play on our team. If I remember correctly, Woody Woodrum said that the team had to dress at the hotel or something to that effect.
Marshall fans turned out in droves to watch the 1-AA championship game with most of us rooting for Boise. Youngstown went on to win much to the dismay of a majority of Herd fans in attendance.

You may as well consider BSU a Pacific 12 opponent. They don't belong in the MWC. I can respect Marshall facing tougher teams in future OOC games. Good stuff!
