That wasn't gray; it was flat black, or anthracite. We could change the fight song:

"Fight, fight, for the anthracite!"

Meanwhile, half the NCAA wears our shade of gray at some point in the season, even though it isn't part of the color scheme.

Didn't the AD refer to the Cincinnati game jerseys as anthracite?

Regardless, Tulsa was definitely gray, even if it's a (far) darker gray than the purists are used to.

Anthracite is what Nike calls that really dark gray they use for jerseys.
