Nothing about this is acceptable. I say CUSA should trade the bottom 8 out for 3 teams that can play. 8 team confrence would mean 5 OOC games every year. More variety in schedule and won't have to play teams that don't want to win.

Trade with who? Jack already sold his cow for some magic beans.

Most of us have to play cross-division road games and if I would be all for the trade out, then we might be able to get some teams that actually could compete in basketball and baseball.

I would love for Marshall to start a whole new conference that had a main focus on football. Whether that is 9 teams or 12 I don't care. No offense, but I'm sick of us having so many FCS caliber teams on the schedule.

I would much rather be in that 12 team conference than this 14 team **** bag conference that is loaded down with terrible Texas teams (minus Rice.)

Tell your AD you think you guys should go independent, better yet ask the Sun Belt if you can join.

Folks need to be patient. ODU, UTSA, Charlotte all have upsides but it will take close to 4 years for those dividends to pay off. Until then its going to be up to the more established members to tote the load.

Couldn't disagree more. No thanks to any of those Belt teams or FCS madison.
UTEP has had some decent teams over the years and just went to a bowl last year.
North Texas was 9-4 and won the HOD just two years ago

Yeah I agree. Especially UTSA and Charlotte. Both large universities in metro areas.
UTSA is the only game in town, the Alamodome is very nice facility and the city of San Antonio really supports the college

Wow, somebody else who thinks ODU has had a better season than Charlotte so far. Better not let 919r or Dawgxas see that.

Sagarin are much more accurate. UTSA, FAU and UTEP are higher than ODU, with North Texas and Charlotte lower. UTSA beat UTEP in El Paso 25-6. UTSA is going to beat ODU in San Antonio with a walk-on QB

Trust me, I would much rather go independent than play in this conference. Heck, might as well drop back down to FCS, might have a tougher schedule then.

At least I wouldn't have to explain to my friends who half the teams in our conference were.

ODU is only slightly smaller than Charlotte. Not only does odu cater to Norfolk, which has a population of around 250k but the Hampton roads area, which has a population of over 1.5 mln. So once again dawg you are wrong. Going out in a limb here and saying that's much larger than the la tech student population and Ruston area population. Thanks for playing.

Then just keep doing that every year or two! What possible harm could there be? Teams are only as good as they are right now, forevermore. Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia. Continuity, schmontinuity.

I think that was what UCF, Houston, ECU, Memphis etc did. 05-stirthepot

Actually, Memphis was one of the bottom 8 in the last version of CUSA.

My only issue with the conference is that it's too far flung. I would like to see the whole G5 aligned more geographically, 4 conferences, north, south, east and west. Same basic footprint as the Big 10, ACC, SEC, and PAC 12.
