At least I wouldn't have to explain to my friends who half the teams in our conference were.

Where were you last year when we were the best G5 conference with all this b.s. talk? From last year to this we lost UAB and added Charlotte, plus ODU and UTSA did the natural fifth year cycle down of a new program. Other than that, it's pretty much like last year. MAC and AAC are better this year and the MW is terrible (60% of their schools are ranked in the 120's or worse in the Massey composite).

Instead of spewing your ignorance, maybe it'd be better if you just zipped-it for awhile.

I agree.

And when that happens, the power-ratings will be adjusted accordingly.

No worries FIU fan. I've never had respect for your program and have always questioned why you guys were invited to this conference. FAU I can understand because they at least have potential with their nice facilities.

And I have no respect for you and the ignorance you try to pass off as reasoned judgement.

[I'm sure my response will get this thread thrown into smack-talk; but w/o a response it would just sit here....whatever]

Cool story bro. Not sure why you think people should respect the FIU football program.

My only issue with the conference is that it's too far flung.

It is?

We've got two universities farther north than the SEC... Marshall and ODU (WV/Virginia vs. Missouri)

We've got four texas universities... SEC was trying for ages to get 1 or 2.

Other than that, our footprint is exactly the same as the SEC, and I don't hear anyone saying they're too spread out.

We're not considering NMSU (at my guess), so we're not that far out... we're not considering Boise (Unlike the AAC was), we're not considering BYU (like the AAC, Big XII and ACC were).

But we're too far flung? That argument I don't get. Unless you're saying send UTEP to the MWC, which I would oppose completely, as I'd prefer entire coverage of the state of Texas for recruiting purposes.

Doesn't the AAC stretch from Houston, TX to UCONN?
