I and I'm sure a lot of other fans need to make travel plans to Houston for the game. Does anyone know when they will announce a start time?

2 weeks out (12 days). The way it's been all season and will keep going indefinitely.

How does the game time on Saturday really impact travel plans to Houston? I would think most people are arriving there Friday afternoon/evening and leaving Sunday.

Well for me personally it's a matter of flying versus driving. I would rather drive but if it's an early start I'll have to fly to get there in time. I could probably drive either way but if it's early I would be driving straight to the stadium and with Houston traffic would possibly miss some of the first half.

I am travelling there on business. I usually return on Friday. I have to make arrangements for personal rental car, return airfare, get my grandson to attend game with me, get tickets, etc,etc,.
Not as simple as it sounds plus need to cancel social plans already arranged depending on game time to be able to return on Sat. night or have to return on Sunday. I hope this gives you some idea on why the start time is important to me.

ESPN just optioned our Navy game to a 6 day hold, so I don't think they can do it again the next week.

Yep I book Friday and Saturdays way out knowing I can cancel the room as needed. Once I know kickoff I figure out how I'm getting there

On the bright side, I called the athletic ticket office to inquire about Houston tickets. I was told that we have plenty of tickets left in our allotment. The UofM will sell tickets in the Memphis section (121) for the Houston game up until Thursday November 12 (two days before the game). So if you're waiting on kick-off time before committing, you CAN wait until the last minute before buying tickets.

that is insanely cheap to fly to Austin and then drive over to Houston. If I didn't just make the trip to Tulsa I would make this trip. Under 60 bucks roundtrip direct out of Memphis is wild.

Roundtrip after seat selection and taking just a carry-on, paid for at booking is $111.50

It's $56 roundtrip on Kayak flying Allegiant. That's insane.

Two and a half hour drive to Houston from Austin. Oh, and Austin is a blast.

It is the same on the Allegiant site but they charge you a minimum of $13 each way for picking your seat and $30 for a carry on.

The NYC Tigers are bussing it to Temple. MegaBus in the house! ($8-12 each way)

Thanks for posting. I was thinking about making the trip from D.C. area and had not thought of the mega bus, which would be the best option.

We're getting lots of options from around 8a to 3:30a return. I was trying to get an overnight group together, but most want a day trip, so day trip it shall be.
