The club area may be considered a private club and as long as alcohol is kept within that area it is OK but once it goes out into the stadium area proper it is considered a public area and since alcohol is not permitted in the rest of BFS that may be why. I have seen lots of restaurants with outdoor seating that have signs that prohibit taking alcohol outside of the seating area. Perhaps it is considered the same here also. Do not know, just speculating. If ABC rules are in fact governing this it would be very difficult to get that changed or get a waiver I would think.

ABC regulations is the exact reason why alcohol cannot be taken past the "bar" at the edge of the club patio. This was explained in detail when the club first opened. There is really no way of getting around that since the actual (gold, should be purple) seats are part of the stadium and not considered a separate entity such as the club and its limited patio space. If this was not enforced, their liquor license would be pulled.

How do other ballparks handle this? It must be possible to get an ABC license that would cover the stadium also, though it may require additional paperwork/fees/etc.

Need a license for the whole stadium, yet keep current policy in place. Drinks in club seats & problem solved?
