About right. Unless our offense comes out of a coma, we won't challenge WKU. Probably not MT either. Yeah, we've had massive O line injuries and on our 4th RB and freshmen QB but it happens every where.

Hate to say it, but we are probably over rated in his rankings and some on here may be giving us more credit than due. Poor offense is resulting in The D being on the field all game. I think our D may be running out of gas, and we still have no offense.

Me too. The last championship you guys won you had a better D than Houston, but not as good as offense, but your O was very good. Ours unfortunately is not. Ours isn't even pretty good. They are ok.

You had 6 points against the first and second teams. They do just fine.

Much like last year, we are playing a lot of backups in the fourth quarter on defense. The 93 yard drive at the end of the game doesn't happen, most likely, if our third teamers aren't in there. It was like the ODU game where they had hardly anything through 3 quarters and their running back gets a lot in the fourth.

On another note, we now have the #2 ranked defense in pass efficiency and have moved into the #17 spot on scoring defense.

Did I say points allowed? I'm saying you gave up a total of 247 yards to a team that can't execute on offense. Your rush defense ranks 98th. Marshall is a good team and I wish them nothing but the best from here on out, but to say that aspect of the defense can't improve is stupid.

Until as well as or unless we win at Rice in three weeks I wouldn't put us in the category above Rice...but that's just me.

Actually, our rush defense is 86th, not 98th, and we are well in the top half in yards allowed per carry. Like I mentioned, we are #2 against the pass from an efficiency measurement. Basically, we won't get beat by the big pass play. We pressure the QB and use the safeties in pass pro first and to play the run second. What that gives you is a defense you can run against between the 20s, but that goes away in the red zone when the field shortens. We are 17th in red zone defense.
