You got it with the last part...

It's five yards from the spot of the foul.

Not really. You are averaging about 5 yards per play, they are averaging about 9. Total yards don't mean much, it's efficiency. How many yards per point, both offensively and defensively.

Leston almost gets ejected over a "late hit" that shouldn't have been called, LSU intentionally head butts a WKU player and barely gets unsportsmanlike conduct. Story of the game. I'm not saying we should have won at all...but there have been a lot of questionable calls in this game.

Ballgame. Final 48-20. We leave with a big check, no major injuries, and a final score that satisfied the media that the P5 is on another level than the G5.

Just about everyone on this forum probably has more football knowledge than me. I watched every WKU game in the 3 years that we won 1 game. We didn't deserve the win, but we didn't deserve some of those calls either.

Proud of our guys.....Forunette did not embarrass us, we pretty much held him in check....Basically 2 turnovers did us in which was basically a 35 to 20 game......Now on to CUSA play!

Y'all did fine considering they have a damn good shot at the National Championship.

No shame in that loss. Not having Higbee really hurt us. But we Put up 400+ yards of offense. Two bad pass plays in the first half and turnovers killed us.

Yes they did, lswho got a great deal of assistance from the zebras as well. They swallow the whistle on PI agasint lsu in the 1st. The Pi on wku was total bs that set up lsu's second td.
THAT WAS NOT TARGETING. Nor was it roughing.

RE: Game Thread: WKU at #5 LSU
ugly score but it honestly didn't feel like that kind of beatdown to me.

i was very proud of our guys. and i know Coach Brohm would be the last to believe in moral victories.

as bad as our defense was last year i've been impressed with what they've done this year.

move on. don't let this loss linger in our heads. get ready for the next one. (i know that's hella coachspeak but that's what i honestly believe)

Bad field conditions didn't do us any favors. I thought we played with passion and that's all I ever ask

1st half every time we had the ball was a downpour...I think this was a huge game as far as not perfect conditions but still being productive....Good training moving forward....If LSU QB makes throws like he did against us, they are right in the mix to win it all....Not having Higbee middle of the field really did hurt us big time tonight..I have heard he may be out rest of the season which is not great for us....

Good showing WKU, just nigh impossible to beat LSU @night in their stadium. Add in torrential downpours and your guys still did better than most SEC teams will/have done against the Tigers @ home. Glad Doughty didn't get broken as well, kid's tough and awfully good.

Very true, Higbee is big target with great hands and would be hard for any LB or DB (including LSU) to cover.

No. He's just stupid. That's his 4th or 5th personal foul this year.

RE: Game Thread: WKU at #5 LSU
The final score is deceptive, the game was really closer for most of it at least. Harris decided to have a career game passing, they had zero turnovers and we had two costly ones.
LSU performed much better in the slop than the Toppers, Doughty had some bad throws and several balls were dropped. We held Fournette in check better than expected, he did have 150 yds. but a lot more carries than normal.
LSU has a excellent shot at the playoffs, the have a good QB & excellent running game and a fairly solid defense. I think they will beat Alabama.
