4-year-old girl dead after Albuquerque road-rage shooting
A 4-year-old girl is dead after gunfire erupted on a New Mexico highway during what appeared to be a confrontation fueled by road rage. And police are scrambling for any leads to solve the crime.

“We have absolutely no suspect information at this time,” Albuquerque Police Chief Gorden Eden said. “We are in desperate need of information to help us resolve the conflicting information we’re getting right now.”

He did. I just linked an older story on the event. I think he is a concealed carry guy.

It's pretty amazing somebody did something this outrageous over something so insignificant.

Yes but this isn't out of the ordinary. Shootings because of road rage happen more than we might think.

This is the problem with gun proliferation and with people carrying guns, concealed or openly, with them everywhere. Some people will snap. Trying to encourage everyone to run around armed to the teeth increases the liklihood that when someone snaps they'll have a gun within reach to just start firing.

And no, if the parent of the kid had a gun, it would have made no difference. The other guy had the drop on him.

As much as I am against guns, things like this make me think I need to get a gun too.

I mean if everyone else is going to be packing, maybe I need to carry a gun around too.

Not likely ....... knowing our prison system and the luxury it is, this guy will be able to exercise, shower, watch endless TV 7 days a week. He'll participate in organized softball, basketball, ping pong, flag football, pool, card game tournaments. Also will get 2 hot and 1 cold meal a day guaranteed! Those meals will consist of a fruit, veg, meat etc.

Gotta love our prison system!

GUNS ARE NOT PROLIFERATING... Here is evidence so that any further claims of proliferation will be lies and not mistakes.

Please stop staing incorret things. Up to now I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say perhaps you were ignorant that fewer people and homes have guns now as opposed to 5-10-20-50 years ago.

The problem was the road range, not the gun. Or do we need "fist registrtion"

http://www.localnews8.com/news/man-dies-...s/32943278

Quote:A man has died after an argument early Saturday morning that resulted in him being beaten unconscious.

Police are calling the incident road rage and said it happened between multiple people around 2 a.m. near 25th Street and Holmes Avenue.

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center confirmed that Josh Olzak, a father of two, died Monday morning. EIRMC said he was kept on ventilators to preserve and harvest his organs for donation.

Maybe we should just ban all vehicles?

Excellent information.

I thought however that organizations like the NRA were making claims that crime is going down because of an increase of gun ownership.

So which one is it? Do more guns or less guns make us safer?

Probably a mixture of multiple things. Some people, like myself, don't own a gun. However, I don't fault anyone else for having a gun. I've always had a big a$$ dog to let would be intruders to look elsewhere.

That won't solve any problems, and won't save you from a road rage man with a gun. You won't be expecting that person to fire at you.

Adding a gun always escalates a situation. Its very rare that the escalation will turn out well for either side.

I'm not a member or a huge supporter of the NRA. I just gave you facts, how you choose to ignore them is completely up to you.

And if fewer guns still equals massive increases in gun violence, then maybe the way we have allowed guns to be carried everywhere and removed virtually any regulation or oversight of firearms should be looked at.

And if you removed single or double shot long arms from the survey, you'd probably get a significantly positive slope..
