If this has been posted here before, I guess I just missed it. Before the MSU game, Sports Illustrated was given access to the program and share their favorite photos.

While some may take shots at it, this slideshow does have some good pictures in it. Good pub for WMU.

The only thing important is the kids are buying what he is selling. If he was the tool people try to make him out to be, the kids would see through it and he would be done in a flash.

The kids love him. The adults who have to work with him......not so much.

We'll know who PJ is when other schools come calling.

My Guess he'll take any offer that is equal or over and above his current pay grade. And I believe he'll take players and recruits with him. And then watch what happens when we offer the next guy 450k. That ridiculous contract will come back to bite us.

I would guess that most of the coaching staff would go with him also which proves that adults like him too.

Recruits, sure, but it's got to be a tough decision for a current player. Sitting out for a year has to feel like an eternity.

We will cross that bridge when we get to it.

For the time being, enjoy the ride.

In the MAC you either move on to a better paying job after five years or so, or are fired. I anticipate Fleck will eventually move-on like Kill, Kelly, Jones, Pinkel, and Beckman did. To think he will be another Solich is naive.

Hopefully, when he does leave, he will do it in a classy way, with a smooth transition. Not like the way Dantonio screwed over Cincy by not leaving any assistants prior to a bowl game.

First off he does well I suspect they will hire one of the assistants to replace him. As for your other points, he works with or
There's besides his football staff.

Any chance Hart has a shot to become the next head coach at WMU when Fleck leaves? I'm guessing he relates real well with the team and he has youth on his side. He appears to be a real capable teacher. I guess the question will be has he had enough coaching experiences to be viewed as a well rounded candidate?

RE: Just saw this
I listened to an interview with PJ earlier this week on Sirius/XM College radio. They didn't shy away from really needling him about his name popping up as the next up and comer, and with the spate of coaching positions opening up they wanted his honest thoughts. PJ made this first comment... "Ive won 12 games so far and I am in my 3rd season... that gets coaches fired".... He's really honest that he is in a special situation at WMU and a situation he honestly doesn't view as much of a stepping stone as a stamp he can put on the program. He wants to turn WMU into champions, he wants to win bowl games and MAC championships... That seems to be his #1 concern right now. He's really invested in the program, the coaches and the players that are filling up his rosters... He indicated that he's much more drawn to that opportunity than any opportunity to go take the reigns of just any other program... Regardless, my thoughts are that he's here until he's fired or wins us a MAC championship. Just my gut opinion.... and after he wins that MAC championship, it will be a really interesting situation... how long does he linger before bolting... will there be better opportunities at that point... will he stick around to repeat... will he bolt before the bowl game that ensues?

There's also a possibility that he never gets to that point and leaves after his current contract... or gets canned before hand... At this point all we know is he's here this year and he's got his team moving forward...

GO BRONCOS!

Although he won't be any Solich (unless we somehow start paying him into the millions while we're becoming the next Boise State) -- I don't think he'll cut and run to anything Equal or even slightly over just because it's elsewhere. I don't see him doing a lateral move at all. Hoke did it going from BSU to San Diego State, but they paid a good portion more. I don't see why any coach would want to make a lateral move at roughly the same pay -- or go to a low-end/never-strong P5 team for roughly the same pay.

The only way I'd see a young up-and-coming "hot" coach wanting to go from a mid-G5 team like WMU to another place at roughly the same pay is if it's a high-level successful P5 school and their coach is retiring and that being part of some stipulation. Having to go over to a bottom-feeding P5 or another G5 where their team's in shambles (like Southern Miss) -- and to leave a winning program to do that for the same pay? Don't see it. In fact, I think I read Cubit turned down an offer or potential offer from Iowa State where it had to have been even notably more money.

RE: Just saw this
We have to understand that he is still learning on the job right now... I don't think even he would be comfortable going to take over another program, spend another 3 years trying to pull in HIS talent for HIS idea of how HIS program would need to run... I don't see him jumping ship before he can get WMU to the top... He makes plenty of money here... to build his resume, his skills as an HC and his name in the business... Lets just be happy that WMU is making the strides that we are making on the field and hope that the rise continues.

RE: Just saw this
^^^^ Yeah, I agree. However, if a great opportunity arises, he will take it. But yeah, he's going to want to build his resume and build a program with top-G5 pay rather than going lateral for same pay-ish, or to a brow-beaten P5 team in their conference for just a notch up in pay when he's just getting things started to learn & build.

The truth lies in the faces of our players in the slideshow. (Thanks for posting, MileHigh.) Look at how attentive they are to what Fleck is saying. He has every single one of them in the palm of his hand. Like him as a person or not, he is an incredible motivational speaker. Whether we like the RTB and other catch phrases or not, the players believe. That is what counts in the long run. Fleck has them playing hard, together, and with confidence.

The 2015 Broncos are exciting to watch. They represent WMU well. Football is fun again, after far too many years. Why can't we put all these side issues aside, and just ENJOY what we have at this moment??
