I bet Temple would be undefeated with Houston's schedule too. They have one close win over Louisville's worst team in years and not much else.

No argument, however it doesn't change that Temple is lucky to be undefeated. ECU could have gone the other way tonight.

Lucky? I would love to play Houston's schedule with some of the tough games they have played.

And that changes the fact you barely escaped UMass how? UCF not so much but it was closer than expected. Good luck the rest of the way, seriously, I'd like to see more high profile games.

I was leaning toward ECU getting a home win ... but honestly don't know much about ECU, and figured there'd be folks here who could enlighten me. Do the Priates have an offense that can take advantage of what seems like a stout Temple D?

And even a small wager makes the game that much more entertaining. I'm not a big gambler, but love sports, and know that I'm into game more when I have a little riding on the outcome.

I don't think any overs won last night.

Yeah .... whenever I am in doubt like this, I should make my first gut pick, and then change it. Because THAT would be the right pick.

Temple looked good. (I think Notre Dame takes care of them though, but we'll see).

I wish I had known ECU played 2 QB's like that. I wouldn't have bet on them then.

lol
Quote:ESPN says an undefeated Temple might be good enough to get into the College Football Playoff, the four-team championship bracket selected by a 13-member committee. I don’t think I buy that, but ESPN’s analysts should know better than I do!

And Houston has played more high profile games than Temple this year so far? Temple has beat PSU, Cinci, and ECU...Meanwhile Houston has played a fairly easy schedule with a single 3 point win over a P5. Just comparing schedules....

Temple hasn't played great every game, but they've consistently found ways to win all season for seven games. That's not luck.

Temple fans try to block our days in the MAC out of our memories. A lot of changed with our university and program since then.

But why would that be? After all ...

So, evidently, being in MAC FB gave Temple the setting where they could reverse their decline and start their rise.

It's honestly not a dig a the MAC as much as it is a dig at Temple being kicked out of the Big East to begin with and having to join a lower tier conference.

While it sucks that Temple got kicked out of the Big East -- the money they invested in other areas of the university has paid HUGE dividends in terms of our research abilities, academic facilities, and academic rankings. It's just a dark time for Temple athletics and the sports fans try to block that from their memory.
