Thanks guys. Great regional game that I've always wanted to get home and home. If we are better then, expect to travel well there. Many good games in the series, including one I remember going to with my Dad in 1987, when Stan Hmphries and eventual National Champion NLU beat USM and Brett Favre. Was the battle of two future Super Bowl QB's.

Should have said congrats first. Great get for ULM, but no doubt CUSA is ducking GS. Probably an issue for another thread.

Nothing but respect for ULM which has been the best at knocking off the big boys.

Nice get ULM, these are the game we have to get AND win!!

Hopefully ULM has a better year in 2016 than they are having this year. No matter the opponent, that's a lot of seats to fill.

LOL... I was thinking the same thing. Belt teams talk about how they are superior to C-USA, but covet the match-ups.

I am a Southern Miss fan. I have been very happy with the recent (and upcoming) announcements of home-and-homes with Sun Belt teams. As I have posted on our board, I think that our entire non-conference schedule should be made up of teams from MS, LA, and AL with few exceptions (can't turn down home-and-homes with P5's).

I think that Southern Miss has more in common with Belt teams than with most of what we have in C-USA. UT__ and F_U don't do it for me. I look forward to the Troys, UL-whatevers, and USAs on our schedule. They are meaningful games which fans can travel to. That is what all of our games are missing- visiting fans. I will be at every one of these games that I can.

No Southern Miss is not scared of GS. or of playing other teams from the Sunbelt. We played Texas State this year,we play Troy next year,University of Louisiana Monroe in 2017, Appalachian State in 2018. Troy again in 2019, then a home and hone with South Alabama in 2020 and 2021. Reportedly rumors going around that games with Louisiana Lafayette are in the works. We at Southern Miss look forward to each of these games.

Scheduling is tough. Scheduling when you are hard to get to is tougher, especially against teams that don't recruit South Georgia.

USM isn't scared of Ga Southern. Nor are they refusing to play Sun Belt teams.

What G5 teams recruit Savannah/South Georgia?
